In February of 2014 we travelled to India with Odysseys International. We learned a great deal about India, its people, and its religions. With a group of only 24 (plus guide) we had a chance to get to know everyone in the group and we shared in our explorations.

Our guide was Girish Bakshi. We could not have had a better guide for this trip. He was an expert in Indian religious traditions and had a wonderful sense of humor. Whether he was explaining how Hindus believe that life is like a coconut or modelling traditional headgear (men's or women's) for us, he was always interesting and entertaining.

He told us that visiting India was like a post-graduate trip because everything we had seen before was only a preparation for being ready to see India. And in many ways he was right; nothing can actually prepare the traveller for the overwhelming sensory experience that is India. Pictures only begin to tell the tale.
